Tax-Free Shops at Eilat Ramon Internation Airport

Passengers cannot reimburse their VAT taxes when purchasing items at Eilat as Eilat is a VAT-free area.

When you are going to leave Israel, take your purchases, filled in Tax-Free forms, receipt, and passport.

General Information

  • Israel VAT amount is 17%;
  • The minimum purchase amount is 400 shekels (slightly above 100 Euro by the end of 2019);
  • VAT reimbursement is available for non-Israel residents only;
  • The VAT is reimbursed for the purchases, packed and unused, exported in passenger’s personal luggage;
  • Purchases should be done at special sales points such as TAX REFUND or CHANGE PLACE, you need to receive a special VAT refund blank with the stamp in addition to receipt;
  • You can reimburse a part of VAT for clothes, cosmetics, Dead Sea salt, mud as well as jewelry;
  • You can also reimburse VAT for medical services, that you have received in Israel. Please, make sure your medical establishment has an agreement with Change Place to reimburse your VAT.

Ramon International Airport Tax-Free

MilgamAll Tax-free forms are processed by Milgam company. It is located in front of Gate 33 and 34. You need to provide all the necessary documents (filled in Tax-free forms including your receipts, flight ticket, passport) as well as goods to the “VAT REFUND” service desk.

Reimbursement Amount

You will be reimbursed with the amount of VAT you have paid for your Tax-free goods excluding service commission.

Example:

You have bought a shirt for 500 shekels (including 17% of VAT). It means that this shirt costs 427.35 shekels including 72.65 shekels as VAT. Your reimbursement will be 72.65 shekels excluding service commission.

Service Commission:

If the receipt amount varies from 400 to 600 shekels, the service commission will be 15% (meaning you will get 15% less as VAT reimbursement).

If the receipt amount varies from 601 to 1000 shekels your service commission will be 13.5%.

If the receipt amount ranges from 1001 to 2200 shekels your service commission will be 10.5%.

If the receipt amount varies from 2201 to 4000 shekels, your commission amount will be 8.1%.

If your goods’ price ranges from 4001 to 8000 shekels, your commission amount will be 7.2%.

If your receipt amount ranges from 8001 to 16000 shekels, your service commission will be 6.3%.

If your goods’ cost ranges from 16001 to 28000 your commission will be 5.4%.

Finally, if your receipt amount is more than 28000 shekels, your service commission will be 4.8%.


There are additional fees for cash reimbursement (1.9%) and for card reimbursement (30.9 shekels).
